Summary:
Considering this whole world as a holy place, we, humans are like tourists who will remain here only for a short period of time. During the stay, we will have to follow certain rules laid by the caretaker (The Almighty). More importantly, we should leave this place when our visit ends. By doing so, not only our Curator will be happy but also, we tend to gain more respect in the society.
Writing on the Wall:
After 16 long years of cricketing career, in 2012, Rahul Dravid announces his retirement in a simple press conference. Being one of the legendry players, If Dravid had insisted, BCCI would have been more than happy to arrange for a big farewell match to make this announcement, but he had never played for the name and fame and thus did not wish for it. Prior to his retirement, when playing against England, he manages to hit consecutive centuries and thinks that he is still fit to contribute more to the nation. But following this series, when he plays against Australia, he would be bowled 7 times out of 8 and thus he makes his own decision to retire before the BCCI or the media asks him to. Following the lines of this Kagga, he had always thought himself as a tourist/traveller in the world of cricket where he has followed all the rules and thus, when it is time to retire, he announces his decision without creating a buzz. Hence, he was praised by the whole cricket fraternity for taking the right decision to leave at the right time.
